Dear Church Family,

Anna arrived in Mwanza today and the Knapps had the tremendous blessing of being all together on our fourth continent. We celebrated by making an African dinner together. The Knapp women performed many wonders of food preparation while I spent the whole time gringing a little pile of peanuts in a mortar with a pestle. Among the Africans it is the work of the smallest daughter to grind peanuts. So you can see how trusted I was with food preparation. We finished making dinner in the dark by candle light, not for romantic reasons, but because the power went out as it does frequently in Tanzania.

A tremendous blessing: we have been contacted by Dale and Chris Hamilton about a visit to their ministry area. Their son Josh is coming to Mwanza tomorrow for some shopping. He will take us for several hours by car to the port where we will go across to Bumbire Island. Dale and Chris will host us for a couple of days and then Dale will fly us back to Mwanza in the ministry float plane. The Hamilton's work in the Islands is a very inspiring testimony to the power of God and the love of Jesus Christ for the most afflicted of African people.

We will have a brief time at TCRC tomorrow before we leave for the Islands. But when we return we will spend much more time with the boys. Along with the boys and young men at the Resue Center, Lori has introduced us to a number of the other street children with whom she is in regular contact, encouraging them and tryingto help with their most basic food and medical needs. After every meal we have had out we have found one or several boys to provide with food. They are so joyful to meet Lori's Mama and Baba. And we are humbled to meet them.

Thanks to all for your prayers on our behalf. The challenge of the dramatically different cultures of Africa is made easier with the power of God's spirit alive in our hearts and the prayers of strengthening from our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Love to all. We will continue to write as we can. Mbarikiwe.

From the Knapp Baba
